Started moving in to the new place last weekend. In fact it has been close to six months since I bought it, but this was a real project and in fact I have been working on it in my spare time for nearly that long. I went and got direct tv to start out with and installed it at my old place, a house I was renting and this project house. You can click here if you are interested in the sort of tv package I got, but the big thing was I needed to save money and I wanted to be able to watch basketball and football games while I was working. Of course if I have a big screen tv and a fridge with cold beer in it I am relatively happy, but most of all I wanted to get this place to the point where you can invite a girl over and she will not think you are some sort of crazy person.
So I had to redo the kitchen and both baths. It was pretty hard, but I made a good plan and then I took it step by step. If I was not sure what I was doing I would go ahead and put on youtube videos of other people doing the same job. Of course you might have to look around to other places to find a good how to video, but if you your homework it is not so hard. After I did the kitchen and the baths I rented a floor polisher or a floor sander. There was some really worn out old carpet in the living room and it obviously had to go. The easiest thing to do was to just go back down the hardwood flooring and that looks great now.
